Is the initial consultation free and is it face-to-face or via telephone?
It’s free and can either be face-to-face, by telephone or by Video Conference. To ensure you get the most from the meeting, we will agree an Agenda in advance, to help us both focus on the most important topics.
How long would it take to move from my current Accountant?
Typically, it is quite straight forward and we can do much of the leg work for you. We can even notify your Accountant that you wish to change Accountants. The transfer would normally take around one month.
Do you offer any incentives for changing over to you?
Yes, but this will depend on your requirements and we can discuss this at the free consultation.
Is there a minimum contract?
No, all you need to do is give a month’s notice in writing.
I just need some preliminary advice. Can you help?
Yes, you can call us via telephone and we will try and give you an immediate answer to your question. Alternatively, we could discuss your requirements in greater detail with our free consultation.
Do you offer standard service plans or is your service tailored to my specific requirements?
We offer standard service plans, but we also offer tailored services on request.
Your office is some distance from me. Does that matter?
No, it will not have any impact on our level of service. The vast majority of accounting services are now online, removing the need for us to, physically, be on your premises. We also, routinely, use Video Conferencing facilities, such as, Zoom, when face-to-face meetings are required. Our clients find this much more convenient and meetings can be easily rearranged, if required.
What do we discuss at the free consultation?
Basically, your plans, requirements, how we can help and support you, plus the fees. To ensure you get the most out of the meeting, we will prepare an Agenda, in advance, to give you a good idea of what we will be discussing. You will also have the opportunity to list any other subjects to discuss on the day.
Do I really need to employ an Accountant?
It is highly recommended. 20% of new Startup businesses fail in the first year and over 50% within the first three years? An alarming number but, fortunately, something we can help you avoid. Businesses fail because;
- There was no clear business plan and what needed to be in place as the business grew.
- Not carrying out enough due diligence when investigating the market.
- Running out of money, due to poor cash flow management.
- No experience running a business and/or the ability to delegate.
- No Marketing Plan or a badly executed one.
- Expanding too fast or remaining too rigid in your business approach.
